What are the names of the owners of your shop?
Sam and Charlie

How did you both get into cycling?
As kids we both started riding bikes from a young age — one of us on a BMX bike and the other hucking off dirt jumps. This sparked our passion for cycling. We both worked in bike shops starting at age 14, and we've never quit, so it was a natural progression to open our own shop.
How long has Seabass Cycles been open?
11 years
What is your shop’s mission statement?
To create and curate a shop full of interesting brands and products. We wanted to create a shop that we would want to visit and have as our local bike shop. We sell some high-end bikes and products in a relaxed atmosphere; we try and create a nice place to be for our staff and a relaxed environment for our customers.
What makes your shop different than other shops?
We started our shop as two riders, two mechanics, and friends. Over the years, we’ve gathered a collection of niche brands and unique bikes, some to sell and others just to admire.
We stock brands and models you won’t find in most London shops. Our reputation for top-notch wheel building has earned us a loyal following from riders across the city. Whether it’s heavy-duty mt. bike or BMX wheels, or lightweight carbon fiber road sets, we build them all with precision and care.
With so many bike shops in London, we know it’s important to offer something special that brings customers through our doors. That’s why we carry brands like Ritchey, which draw in riders looking for quality and innovation.

Why did you choose to carry Ritchey products?
Ritchey makes some amazing frames and components and has a rich history in the cycling industry. Tom’s work in frame building and in pioneering the early days of mountain biking is something we have immense respect for. The Ritchey name has been around for a long time and it's nice to support such a legendary brand and be part of its ongoing story.
What is your favorite Ritchey product?
It has to be the Outback. What an amazing frame! We have sold plenty of them and they never disappoint. From the aesthetic side to the functionality and ride, they are spot on!
Sam has one built up with a flat bar setup and it is so much fun. I am big fan of the design of the Break-Away frames. They are so cool. We've built a few for people and they are always really impressed with them.
