Who owns and operates your shop?
The shop manager is Olivier Sels (also known as "The King"). The official owner is D’Ieteren company.

How did you get into cycling?
I started cycle touring with my dad at the end of the eighties.

For how many years has your shop been in business?
The shop has been around since ’93. I started working there in 2008, acquired the shop in the summer of 2014, and then sold the shop to D’Ieteren in the summer of 2023. I still run the business now under the Lucien King name.

What is your shop’s mission statement?
We do not officially have one, but it would be something like "passion, knowledge, and customer service" that would best describe why we’re here.

What makes your shop different than other shops?
We still take time to inform the customer and find the right bike for them. Our range of bicycles is not only the sport segment, but also cargo bikes and utility bikes

Why did you choose to carry Ritchey products?
Beauty and quality, and of course the moustache.

What are your favorite Ritchey products?
Road Logic rim brake frameset, WCS products, and Break-Away bikes. Also, the new Montebello, which feels like it is developed specifically for our customers.

Do you have any regular shop rides, community rides, or special events?
At least once a year we try to organize a "Bikes & Bites" event where we invite a brand representative to talk about their products. It would be great to have Tom over one day.

We also do the occasional group rides from time to time, or early morning rides in the summer. In the past we’ve done group recon rides on the 2021 World Championship course and a Gravel Worlds group ride.
