Ciclos La Ferro
What is the name of the owner of your shop?
Juan Luis Primo Soladana
How did you discover cycling?
I've been using a bike since I was a child. I never competed, but always loved this toy/machine. Although I have never worked in the bike business in my career, I have a longtime friend who produces titanium or steel frames and he convinced me to change my life by turning my passion into a job.
For how many years has Cycles Ferro been in business?
What is your shop’s mission statement?
We offer personalized solutions to customers who don't find what they need elsewhere in the bike market.
What makes your shop different than others?
The space of the shop is very special. We are in the old town of Bilbao and in a wood and stone building that is 150 years old...and the most important thing, 90% of our bikes are made of steel.
Why did you choose to carry Ritchey products?
Ritchey is an icon in the business, and it's very easy to identify with the way we want to follow in La Ferro. And because of the wide range of products and quality.
What is your favorite Ritchey product?
It's difficult to answer, but I'll say the Ritchey Outback.
Do you have any regular shop rides, community rides, or special events?
We have a local gravel club, maybe the first in Bilbao. In summer, we normally hold two events per month. We have also held a two-day camp for the last two years. Riders looking to join a ride or group can get more info by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
