What are the names of the owners of your shop?

How did you get into cycling, personally?

MS: I learned to ride a bicycle as a kid and later explored other team sports before being reintroduced to cycling through fixed-gear and vintage bike culture.

NS: My grandfather opened a small bicycle shop in Manila, and my father later expanded it into a network of stores catering to riders of all kinds—from beginners to seasoned cyclists, and even children experiencing their first ride. This legacy of sharing the joy of cycling continues to guide everything we do at Built Cycles.

For how many years has your shop been in business?

Built Cycles turned 13 years, last July since our opening in 2012.

MS: Our mission is to offer trusted brands and quality parts while providing unparalleled customer service to everyone we meet, whether in the shop or outdoors. We engage with our community to encourage cycling and active movement, sharing the “Withstand All” spirit on the road and trails.

NS: The “Withstand All” ethos reflects our commitment to supporting and strengthening the culture of cycling, outdoor mobility, and the industry. We strive to embrace innovation while remaining true to our core values, rooted in the fundamentals of adventure cycling and the outdoor lifestyle.

What makes your shop different from other shops?

MS: Community is at the core of everything we do. We always aim to create a space that is warm, welcoming, and built for connection. A shop where first-timers, endurance athletes, and everyone in between can feel at home.

NS: We’re always excited to meet new faces and groups because it allows us to truly connect, cultivate relationships, and actively contribute to Manila’s growing cycling community.
