Colavita/Sutter Home Women's Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light Wins Three of Four Stages at Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic

July 15, 2009

SAN CARLOS, Calif. - July 15, 2009 - Colavita/Sutter Home Women's Cycling team captured three strong wins during the four stages of the 50 edition of the Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic, July 2-5, 2009 in Fitchburg, Mass., using Ritchey Design WCS 4-Axis Stems, WCS Logic Bars and WCS 1-Bolt Seatposts.

The team's tactics put Tina Pic in position to take the sprint finish of stage 2, the State College Circuit Race. Pic had her second stage win during the 4th stage, the Workers' Credit Union Downtown Criterium. During stage 3, the Mount Wachusett Road Race, Andrea Dvorak attacked her breakaway companions on the main climb with one and a half laps to go and went on to win with her solo effort.

"Ritchey stems are so stiff and reliable that there's an efficient power transfer when I'm sprinting," said Pic, five-time US National Criterium Champion.

The Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic is one of the largest pro/am cycling events in America, the second oldest race in the country and attracts more than 900 riders from around the world. The four-day stage race consists of a 14.3K individual time trial, a 3.1-mile Circuit Race, a 64-mile road race, and finishes off with a 28-lap Criterium.

The Colavita/Sutter Home Women's Cycling Team benefits from the lightweight, stiffness and quality of their Ritchey Design WCS components, including WCS 4-Axis Stems, WCS Logic II Bars and WCS 1-Bolt Seatposts.
